When Life Gets Overwhelming

16 Feb

Since I’ve been gone…It’s funny, when I started this blog in 2010 when Meredith went off to college, it was just something to help distract me from the fact that my girl went off to college.  It became a hobby and not at all a lucrative one.  Though I have now allowed “ads” to be run on my blog, I’m not about ready to quit my day job…or my side hustle…or embarking on my “next big thing”.  But I digress.  While I now get paid from ads (a mere pittance), it clearly has not motivated me to blog more often.  I’ve come to realize, from several blog followers, that it’s been about a month since I’ve blogged.  Whaaaaaaat?  How the heck did that happen?  Life, that’s what happens.

I’ve been busy.  Super busy in fact, but I should not be too busy that I forget to blog.  Or forget to give a major shout out to my “baby” who turned 21 this week.  21.  Goodness gracious, that cannot be possible.  But yes, Sonny Bunny is 21.  So I’m giving him a shout out and I am extremely excited that I will be celebrating with him this weekend!

Happy Birthday Patrick!!!

The best thing I’ve learned all year.  Maxie thinks Patrick is her pet. 🙂

I’m quite excited about these lists to make when life gets overwhelming.  I love lists and love to make them in cute notebooks.  Lists do keep me focused and on task.  Clearly I should write, “Blog on Friday” on a list and maybe that will help keep me on track.  Also on my list that I am making, “Pick up new car on Monday”.  It’s red and I love it!! 🙂

Thank you to those who have tracked me down to find out where I’ve been and why I haven’t blogged.  It really touches me when people tell me they’ve missed my blog.  It also touches me when I receive a card in the mail, that is Not expected.  Thank you my fun, fabulous Cubs-loving fan for that!

Have a great weekend.  I know I will!!

T.

High Maintenance, Indeed.

74.  Shocking low, in my opinion.  I can probably up that number.  At least I shall have fun trying!

I love lists.  I love To Do lists.  I love Shopping lists.  I love Christmas lists.  I even love Goal lists.  Give me a list, I will complete it line by line, crossing it off as I move on to my next item.

2018…The year of Terry. 🙂

Be brave!

Have a great weekend! What a great weekend of football.  Go Vikings!!

Thanking the Delivery Folks

15 Dec

Aside from Costco, Target or Mariano’s, I rarely step foot in a store.  It’s quite sad, actually, because I loved to shop.  In stores.  Now I do all, or most of my shopping online.  They had me at #FreeShipping.  My gas tanks gain is the UPS person’s loss.  My postal deliverer’s loss.  Fed Ex’s loss.  Amazon deliverer’s loss.  You get the picture.  We keep those delivery folks hopping!  And sometimes running away because of Maxie’s bark!

;

I pirated the saying from something I saw on Pinterest.  Just a nice way to thank those who make the trek up my driveway, sometimes leaving treats for Maxie and battling the winter weather.  We say, Thank you!

To Our Delivery Warriors

Thank you for making our lives so much easier during the Holidays!  We appreciate all you do.  Please help yourself to some treats!

My friend Tulcy has also done this for several years.  Because she lives in Scottsdale, she can leave chocolate, which won’t get freezer-burned!  She has to replenish her bag daily!

Today will be the best day ever!  Why?  Because Sonny Bunny comes home for six weeks!  And we have lots of fun, shenanigan, tomfoolery and a few trips planned.  Can’t wait!

Happy Shopping!  Thank those who work hard so you don’t have to work hard at finding a parking spot or battling the crowds in the stores!

xoxo,

T.
