Songs to Instantly put you in a Good Mood!

Songs to instantly put you in a good mood?  Yes, please!  Thank you Refinery 29 for putting together this list.  Because at the end of the day, it’s all about the music – Dr. Stevie

39 Songs to Put You In a Good Mood

You can click on the above link and it will take you right to Refinery 29’s link where you can click on each song.  My blog only lists the songs.  I do want to give a special shout out to my favorites on this list.  I have put an * by the songs that have already been featured as a Song of the Day. Some have been featured several times, btw.  #ImTrendy  #MyFavs

  1. Friday I’m in Love, by the Cure
  2. This Must be the Place, by the Talking Heads *
  3. Build Me Up Buttercup, by the Foundations *
  4.  Wouldn’t it be nice, by the Beach Boys *
  5. September by Earth Wind and Fire! * – a song about my birthday, the 21st day of September.  How can this Not be the best song ever?

For the above five songs, I will include a direct link to that song.  For the other 34, you will have to click on the above link, or the one I’m putting here so you don’t have to scroll back up.  🙂  The little comments after the songs are by Refinery 29, not me.

One last comment about the songs that make you happy.  I recently heard from a friend I was quite chummy with in the 80’s (kindergarten) and he said, “Everytime I hear that Buttercup song, I think of you”.  Guess I could have a worse legacy. 🙂

Love it or hate it, Here comes Daylight Savings Time!

Spring forward, Fall back.  That’s how you remember.  It will be nice that it’s light out at 7PM, but never fun to lose an hour of sleep.  Of course you get that hour back November 6th, but you may not want to wait that long.  If you are looking to plan a wedding or party, you should pick Saturday, November 5th, and add an hour of party time, since your guests gain an hour that night!

Gearing up for spring break and St. Patrick’s Day!  Best week ever!  I’m guessing there will be an early blog next week about St. Paddy’s Day!

And it’s Friday, Let the Shenanigans begin!  Let’s!

And here’s then hoping I don’t leave the house that day!

Actually it can.  Change your house clocks and don’t leave the house!

  1. Hi! I had a few more. “Wherever We Go” by the Newsboys. My fave Friday song! “Move” by Mercy Me. If you hear this song and don’t want to get up and dance, check your pulse! “Good Morning” by Mandisa. Mandisa’s sunny optimism is contagious!
