These Boots were Made for Walking....

I was watching the news, and there was a teaser regarding a woman who was now able to fit into her boots. It then showed her prancing about wearing her knee-high boots. I thought perhaps there was a cream that made pulling on your boots, easier. Nope…not so easy. They were discussing liposuction for calves. Seriously, people are having lipo done on their calves to fit into boots. I am Not kidding here.

I’m guessing lipo for your calves would be upwards of $1000, most likely much more. So this woman, and apparently, many more, as it is now a “trend” (really?), would pay thousands of dollars having their calves surgically altered, to fit into a $100-$200 pair of boots. Here’s as tip, buy new, wide-calf boots, and save thousands of dollars! Sheesh!

I have a pair of black, patent-leather high heel boots, which happen to be fabulous. They are pull-on boots, and while easy to pull on, after a long day, or night, they are difficult to pull off. But I do it. Why? Because, they are fabulous, comfortable and I love them. I was at an industry event and a colleague said, “Terry, I bet when you wear those boots, you basically get whatever you want?”. Correct, I replied, but I basically get what I want anyway….boots or not. And I was reminded of that this morning. 🙂

From September through May, boots are basically part of my look, each and every day. I love Uggs with leggings for casual, or leggings with riding boots. For work or “play” I love skirts or dresses with high heel boots. I guess one could say it’s my “uniform”. I have to say I had so much fun putting together this blog and have gotten lots of inspiration myself. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did putting it together.
