As I mentioned in a blog last week, I’m not nearly the savvy blogger I thought I was as I missed both National Shoe Day as well as National Handbag Day. Yes, I still have the nerve to refer to myself as a “blogger”, or actually, still blog. I really don’t think I’m a blogger, nor ever say I’m a blogger, unless I’ve had 2 chardonnay’s, then I’m all about the blog. 🙂
In regards to the ecard above, “These shoes were made for sitting”. I have the several pair of truly fabulous shoes…so fabulous to look at, but not so fabulous to walk around in. These, I explained to Meredith are perfect shoes to either cab or valet park, and walk right to a bar stool, or table in the restaurant. They are not for hobnobbing about downtown Chicago. It’s because of the skinny heels. The giraffe-print Kate Spade have a strangely angled heel as well…hence, valet to the table. No stopping on way.
So, here you go…short and sweet. A Shoe Thing! Quotes and pictures about shoes that I happen to love. Fancy shoes, not a practical pair in the bunch. That’s all.
I shouldn’t be feared…but never should be underestimated. I mean that in the nicest possible way, of course.
I actually do need help, but don’t want help. Big difference.
This happened to me. Someone said, “Those shoes are so practical. Where did you get those”?
Uhm…bite me. 🙂
I am not a fan of heights.
These Louboutins will set you back about $825.
Everything, or most things, I learned in life I learned from my mother and father. My mom always had beautiful shoes…and loved Red shoes. My father wore wing-tips, and they were always well-shined. My brother and I talked just about that, this week. My dad’s shoe-shine box. 🙂
Cheetah seems to be the new black…or the new shoe black.
I think both.
But I loan out my purses, and that’s nothing to sneeze about.
Today, I shall go shoe shopping!
I am in love with these shoes.
Just some shoe knowledge.
Shoring up my male fan base.
Can you wear white after Labor Day? Heck yes!
Red bottomed shoes. What’s not to love, except the price?
These, are super fancy.
Not a huge fan of chocolate.
Chunky heels are the way to go, if you are out and about.
🙂
I am also in love with these shoes. When in doubt, buy both. That’s my new motto!
Now that’s a blog!
True that.
More totally unpractical, but fabulous shoes.
More Shoe Quotes…because you can never have enough shoe quotes.
Song of the Day: This must be the Place, by Talking Heads
Home is where I want to be
Pick me up and turn me around
I feel numb, burn with a weak heart
Guess I must be having fun
Well, another weekend, another Bears game. Lucky for me my friend Cathy is in for the weekend, so that will be fun, fun, fun and hopefully cap-off with a Bears win. I’m being cautiously optimistic. #blondebutnotdumb
Next week I will post a blog about boots and a blog about purses. Yup, best blogs ever! I’m really a handbag gal, not a shoe gal, but is there anything wrong with being both? Nope…So yeah…it’s a shoe thing. 🙂
xoxo,
T.
Consider that done! 😉
Love many of the shoes, but I’ll stick to flats (new pair of leopard from Express just came yesterday.) Your little jokes crack me up. Reading this blog on the sly at the office, but my laughing out loud at “drinking responsibly means not spilling” makes me not so sly. TGIF dear friend, always love the mention of your parents.
