Let’s Hear it For the Boys: Transition Day to Night

The transition from a daytime outfit to a nighttime outfit is a common challenge for most, especially when living the demanding college lifestyle. College is when students are their busiest and begin to practice time management. Managing your schoolwork and social life can mean going straight from class or the library directly to dinner with friends or even a date. The key is to start with the basics. By starting with essential daytime pieces, and then layering on or adding accessories, achieving an appropriate look for night can be a cinch!

This west coast fashionisto has mastered the process of transforming from a daytime look into an evening look; and he makes it look effortless. He eludes the cool and casual California vibe with this easygoing ensemble. He sports a classic baseball tee that is revved up with distinctive features; Henley-detailing that is adorned with a few buttons, stripes, and even a two-toned pattern. This shirt couldn’t be more spot on! By throwing on his favorite wayfarer shades, he displays undeniable confidence.

Khakis are another essential item that every man should have in his wardrobe. This fashionisto’s black sneakers and dark toned T contrast flawlessly with his neutral pants. Plus, the beige color goes with virtually anything and they are acceptable to wear anytime of the year. To finish off the daytime look, he added unique Nike kicks with a pop of turquoise. In my opinion, the shoes are the most interchangeable part of this outfit. This look can be rocked with a variety of shoes; try a bold colored Sperry, a sleek pair of white Converse, or even refined oxfords. In order to stand out when wearing basics, accessories such as this fashionisto’s shoes or sunglasses are what illustrate his individual style.

After a busy day of work and class, he is meeting up with his buddies at a local outdoor festival. The quarter zip, a staple for college students, not only will help him avoid the chilly evening breeze, but it adds preppy personality to his look. He looks comfortable, but far from sloppy.

This look embodies an abundance of versatility. By coordinating an almost “skater” inspired ensemble with a sleek hairdo and tailored pullover, this fashionisto’s look is unquestionably unique, personalized, and well put together.

 xoxo,
